Hi! I just use the under armor compression shirt and leggings. I did not attach the armor to the bodysuit pieces. I used black webbing straps for most of the pieces like the chest piece, cod piece, and shoulder bells. The thighs hang on nylon straps from a belt under my l cod piece. My forearms are padded a little on the inside to keep them in place.
Thank you for the idea!

Hi all, I have my armor completed and painted, what do you use for an undersuit and what do you use to attach the armor pieces to the suit? Also what boots do you use?

I don't have Mynock's Den armor, but I agree with Chris that there is usually a return edge to give the appearance of depth.
Do you have any specific pictures you'd like to share at this point, either with finished pieces or pieces you have questions about?
Hi Keith, let me take some pictures and I will send them to you in your email. Apologize for the late response

when trimming the armor parts out, is there supposed to be a lip or pieces supposed to lay flat? im trying to follow the guide that was included but im not having any luck

I'm still building mine so have not quite got to painting it yet, (but I'm getting closer) but I was going to try silver base coat first to see how it looked. But yes essentialy what you wrote here.
I'm not sure about what additional steps may be required for painting ABS. I'm not sure I've actually ever done it yet.
I suspect that you may need a plastic primer of sorts but hopefully someone else can give a better idea.
(quick google search says wash with soapy water, very fine sand with 800 grit or steel then primer)
Hey lurch did you buy your armor from mynock’s den?

Painting weathering, can either layer different paint colours then use steel wool or very fine sand paper to wear off the top layers.
Or use a paint masking fluid/tape/toothpaste then paint over the top then remove the mask to create larger colour changes/scratches/chips.
A carbon rod/bar like a soft lead drawing pencil can be wiped with a cloth then the cloth wiped on your armour to add a dirty look, then a clear coat over the top to seal it on.
For the sith acolyte do you recommend black as a primer and then spray the metallic gray on top and sand it down to make it look weathered?
What about preparing the plastic so it sticks?

hi all, i got my abs pieces in from vader's vault. couple of questions:
how do you prepare the abs plastic to be painted?
what do you use as a primer?
and how do you make it weathered?
thanks for all the help in advance!

Overall I like the appearance of this robe. However, the second red stripe (top-most stripe) on this one appears rather thick compared with the CRL. The CRL says the second stripe should be approximately 1/2 inch wide. I might suggest looking around to see if there are other options.
Here's another option on Etsy, but I wish it had pictures of the robe on a mannequin or person. I also don't see details on what the robe is constructed from. https://www.etsy.com/listing/159853467/sith-acolyte-costume-poplin-robe-in?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=sith+acolyte+robe&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&organic_search_click=1&frs=1
I can ask the maker if they can follow the CRL guidelines

Used three different colour paints. Then rubbed down slowly but surely with soft wire wool.
Where you planning to buy your armour from ?
