  1. good day all. it has been a long time since i have  posted any updates regarding this build and i thought an explanation is in order.

in response to my previous update regarding a mix up between flagship eclipse and the global LMO'S the reality of what happened is that our leadership and the 501st leadership had very different opinions on how this costume should be presented. this is the fault of nobody and i do not blame anyone for what happened, i poorly choose to submit the costume at a time when leadership roles were changing hands and thus there was confusion all around,  it happened and we have moved on in order to bring this character to life.  that being said the costume did come back with fixes and ill will be updating everything new  as it gets approved. the legion is approving everything piece by piece and as such it will be posted piece by piece and both leaderships sign off on the design.  i hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and i cant wait for 2024.

  2. good morning FE, My good friend and  member of the Oregon garrison reached out to me and i wanted to reach out to our DL and the Costume Advisors of flagship for advise, he has wanted to build Baylan skoll asked for how accurate this Esty seller product would be.

    it is my opinion that

    1. the armor wouldn't work because of the material its made of

    2. the belt would need to be brown

    3. the boots are not lace up in the show, the references we have seen show it as a normal black boot

but I'm not an expert and i didn't want to give my friend bad advise, what do you think?

  3. I completely understand. Here in Washington we’ve had a lot is issues with conflictions on how specific saber hilts should look for characters like revan and nihilus. Not wanting to waste time and money on a “maybe” isn’t realistic anymore in modern society.

yes to answer your last question, when your approved locally the approval goes to global as “ this costume is approvable and this costumer May troop and do events in this costume” :)

I also put a request in for saber guild (which has a handful of savage oppresses costumers) to find out how and where they bought their horns.

  4. Hey Derek, I'm glad you've taken an interest in savage opress, he is quite the character :D,I  have been pondering your questions and doing some research to figure out how best to help you, I will answer you questions in the same order you presented them

    1. Sadily I wasn't able to find a specific vender that selling savage horns, I recommend ether checking in our community for anyone who has a approved savage and ask how they did it, I sadily don't know any (but if any of our approved savage ogress's see this post I'm sure they could help), you could also find a vendor on Esty who make Darth maul horns and see if they'd be willing to make savage horns, never hurts to ask.

    2.  I think a material made of leather or a material that resembles leather would serve you best but that also up to you GML. so id reach out to whom ever its is in the new England garrison, is picture 1 the type of material you were thinking?

    3. I'm not a super expert in silver piping but if you look at picture 2, while it isn't silver in the photo i think the general idea is there, which usually involves sewing an edge over each end to give it that" trim" look I can continue to dig some more and find some videos on how to sew this look..

    4. As a general rule lightsabers are always optional and are NOT a requirement for an official approval. however if you do desire to have his official hilt, in checking the crl the saber should be as follows

The lightsaber hilt from tip to tip is approximately 23 inches long.

Each end has a spike coming off the blade emitter.

They are opposite one another meaning that one end of the saber the spike is in the 12 o’clock position and the opposite end the spike is in the 6 o’clock position.

The center of the saber has rubber ribs.

D-Ring connectors on the short side of both emitters.

The hilt can be a static prop or have a removable blade.

If the hilt does have a blade it should light up red on both ends.

i hope this information was helpful, i wish you the best of luck in this build and don't hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions

  5. My application went to @DarthValkyria the global lmo and ourcout detatchment lmo, nina and I talk about the result and while we in our own ways disagree with the judgement that is the judgment and I respect it

I can understand a reasoning of Dagan looks too much like a regular Jedi and that might confuse people at cons or at events, Which may be a reason for rejection they thought of. But like I said it’s not up to me, it’s globals call.
