  1. Crossposted from Facebook. Hello! I would love to get some opinions on this helmet sculpt I received from a vendor. To preface: This is NOT a criticism of the vendor and I will NOT be naming them at this time; this vendor is well known and well respected in the community and this is part of the first batch of their new Seventh Sister kit they sold to a handful of patrons. The rest of the kit is, as far as I can tell, of notable quality, but the helmet seems off to me (and so far, three of the other people who purchased the kit). Pictured is the raw helmet next to my wife's finished and approved helmet. It seems quite large and I have doubts it can be approved this way; it looks comically big on both of our heads, like a sports mascot or bobblehead. Other patrons have also voiced their concerns but the vendor insists the helmet is sized normally. Again, I do not want to criticize the vendor here, this is a new kit for them and as stated they have a history of quality work. However I did want to get some opinions on this helmet's size. Obviously this isn't the best representation as it is unfinished but I can truthfully tell you that it has bobble head proportions in relation to the armor. Your thoughts?
  2. The CRL states it should be Smoke or Black. Given the rest of the surroundings, I'm assuming the "Red" is just lighting.
  3. Looking forward to seeing you in the GLG! Hopefully you can make it out to Joliet Star Wars day, approved or not--it's gonna be great fun
  4. I've got something a bit different for you today. Poring through some random files I've had on hand, I discovered some Seventh Sister models used for two Star Wars games, Force Arena and Jedi Challenges. These models offer two realistic depictions of the Seventh Sister, moreso the former, which is cited on Wookieepedia as a canon source. As far as I can tell there isn't anything major here that contradicts the existing character, but there are some things that add to it. Some interesting things I've found: The gloves appear to be made of leather or a leather-like material; this also seems to be true of the Second Sister. (Jedi Challenges model) The boot covers are indeed soft material and have leather texture on both models. The boot covers appear to be made of four panels, with seams on each side of the leg. There is a seam running up the middle of the pant leg, and a stitching on the Jedi Challenges version, along the seam. Neither model has triangles on the knees. The armor is matte for both models. Google Drive gallery of model screenshots: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Kna0Z24jKN6-90hT-Wgj30E4tJHF6Lbm Please note that I'm not saying this is something to be followed. I just discovered it, found it interesting, and thought I would share I also have Fifth and Eighth brother models, which I can share as well. Would love to see CRLs for those some day. Enjoy!
  5. Welcome fellow GLG member
  6. I would assume toy inaccuracies don't qualify as a canon source, otherwise we would have Stormtroopers running around looking like this:
