  1. Hi ya Nadja, I used a pattern myself and heavily modified it. I brought some very cheap fabric first and created a mock up, to test out the gathering on the shoulders. The fabric that I used was a black suit type fabric, it gave it some weight so it flowed nicely and only needed to be ironed lightly. I also placed hidden pockets. below is the start of the robe, I still needed to hem, arms and length. Here is a close up of the folds
  2. Hello Pawel. I agree with Heidi the headdress is too bulky and the leather is too thick, it will stick out and they should stop assuming their product is approvable. The belt is truly over priced and its quite easy to make. Though if you're happy to pay. Adjusting to fit if its too large, its just easy to trim and use velcro and butt both ends together. I created mine researching the builds here. The head piece works well with a thin leather as it does give room to fit to the head, though I have seen some use Vinyl. Its really just chasing up the pattern. Wigs are cheap on line around $30 to $60. The ties I made with leather and sewn them into the wig, some glue. I hope that helps.. sorry I tend to chat a bit
  3. HI ya Shannon me again, your doing a good job. I did do some research on her, was thinking of doing the dark side Barriss...though too many other projects on the go atm so its been shelved. Your front panel with the gathering lines are should be a little wider than what you have. They are larger than the arms one. Belt buckle needs to be more of a rectangle, also make the heart look a little stretched out.... mine was carved out of wood.
  4. Hello Young Chuck and Welcome! Good luck with your research and build
  5. HI ya Shannan, Your correct your diamonds are too close together and space them a little. I used liquid eye liner I did Barriss many moons (years) ago, you will get to a stage were it will be very easy to pop them on.
  6. Hello Mistica, I'm looking at building this as well. Just taking a look at the top, the ribbing stops at the top of the chest it doesn't go up to the shoulders. The ribs are also larger than you have. Watch where the top ends, in the animated show its at the belt. The colour is confusing. I assume its like a dark brown unsure.
  7. Hi ya Chelsea and Welcome Good luck with your build
  8. Hi and welcome, I made a pattern first and then used thick fabric as a mock up, before I cut into my leather. I also used snap clips around the back. My hair ties where sewn on, after a year I wanted to tidy up the wig, found Velcro worked well, little bit fiddley to sew on, but works really well. Also after a year fighting with my hood, I placed a black snap clip on the top of my leather head piece well hidden, and hand sewn 2 on my hood, one is so hood sits above eyes or below. Best thing I ever did. The hood is doubled so hand sewing you cannot see. Test quite a few different types of mediums for your red outline, I used paint...tried fabric, sticker and ribbon....I did a crap job on those. Good lick
