  1. It's in a different thread, but I wanted to record here my Raspberry Pi setup for the voice. I haven't had a chance to play with the multi-push yet, but I do have the button, so it should be a matter of time before I get it wired up and tested.
  2. Well, yet again, life has gotten in the way. I'm still working with the seamstress, and should have the first fitting soon. As an aside, I've not had a lot of luck finding a lightsaber that should work that is not $300+. Anyone found any decent sources for a weathered basic hilt that would work? I've got my Vader hilt, and I'm sure most would not notice, but I know it'll bother me.
  3. Sure, I have the ZIP file in my Google Drive, at the link below. I forget where I got the original MP3 file, it was a long file with all the different KOTOR2 clips mashed into one. I split them all out into individual clips using Audacity The filenames are broken down as: #[SML].mp3 # has no real significance, gave them one-ups as I cut them [SML] only matters in the multi-button script for Short (under 4 seconds), Medium (4-7 seconds), and Long (7+ seconds) tracks; if use use the single push it plays any sound in the directory regardless of length If the link doesn't work let me know! Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hj7CQmV-8xVZMJLceK2VgscHNPEcmZLW
  4. Things have gone idle a bit. The seamstress has a delay with moving and I had little time to spare this spring/summer. Now that life is mostly back to normal I hope to continue work in earnest on this one over the next few months.
  5. My seamstress is still working hard and I'll be going for a first fitting shortly. She has relocated to a new place of work which has slowed things down. In the meantime I've tweaked the code for my Raspberry Pi and it's working beautifully so far. I just have to integrate the switch I got to the GPIO connector and I'll have a working demo. I categorized the sound clips by the legnth of the clip: short (under 4 seconds), medium (4-7 seconds) and long (8+ seconds). If I press it once, it plays a short clip, if I press it twice it plays a medium clip, if pressed three times it players a long clip. Aside from that, just in a holding patter as per my first sentence.
  6. Lastly, may not be able to tell the difference from the glove photo above, and the one in this post, but I gave them a couple of coats of neatsfoot oil and they really loosened up. They have got a nice worn and broken in feel now.
  7. And the hood was sanded a bit and now being painted flat black. And here it is mostly dry after the first coat. I think it may be enough with one as just need to darken it up to not show through the fabric. Will look at it again once it fully cures.
  8. Picked up the belt today and it's looking very nice. Accidentally made the belt too small, but a simple extension in the back and it fits nicely.
  9. Mask and hood arrived, and they look fantastic. Picking up the belt tomorrow (Saturday 4 March) and then it'll be up to the seamstress to work her magic. Unfortunately she is booked until 20 March so I'll be waiting for a bit to get this started.
  10. Thanks for that, they should be fixed now. I guess posting them in Tapatalk didn't work as well as from my desktop.
  11. It can always be touchy to provide feedback, especially if you know it isn't going to be all good. But, with that in mind, detachment mentors/gurus, should be working to help you to get approval. The ones here are definitely meeting that criteria from my experiences so far! Glad it got worked out and looking forward to seeing updated pictures. There have been people that have made far far more expensive and complex mistakes than this in other detachments (e.g. SLD). Inconvenient? Absolutely, but overall I'd say it's a win.
  12. The thumbs on the gloves were really long (as you may have noticed in the above photos of them) so I got them trimmed up and they look much nicer now. They were made from sheepskin, and they are getting a nice worn look the more I wear them. I really like the way sheepskin wears making it look well used and worn. All that is left is for the hood and mask to show up from @Twi'lek Pam, which are in transit; and the belt which I am getting from the local leather worker on Saturday.
  13. At least it's an easy fix. I know Wiki's aren't the greatest for source material, but they provide a lot of background and detail for Nihilus. For example: That defines a lot of the build of the character, so when constructing him, remember he's not a corporeal body it's his spirit encased in the costume. It's a great read, and I think it helps provide a context when playing the role. Source: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Nihilus
  14. Quilted sleeves look very nice, and most of it looks nicely proportioned to you, good job with the alterations on that front. My thoughts on the hood are that it is lacking the squared frame that is required. I personally think the hood material will too thin (you can easily see the green behind it) so you'll have trouble getting it to lay just right. If you are able to get the material to sit on the cat's ears it'll help keep the squared frame. To my eye they look to be sitting a bit low on your head, maybe adjust them to sit higher on your head? Also, is the hood attached to the top of the mask? Some of the pictures look like there is a gap between the two. Sliding up the cats ears may help with getting the two pieces to look like they are attached more clearly. CRL points: The hood is attached to the top edge of the mask above the silver decoration on the forehead, this blocks the top of the head from view. The hood drapes and rests on the costumer's chest, creating a squared frame around the face.
  15. Raw black silk is in hand. Just need to wait until hood arrives (in transit) and seamstress is ready to go. Will probably be mid-March before seamstress is available to work. With flash: Without flash: Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
