  1. Looking amazing so far Mynock! I agree with you that with this costume the mask and chest plate make the most impact. Between your latest mask and this chest plate I'd say you're right on the mark! Great work my friend.
  2. We're glad you did Mynock! We'll be watching this thread very closely.
  3. It may be possible to enhance the detail by painting the armor in a way that brings out the details a bit more. An example could be applying a darker color in between spaces and grooves. This darker paint can pull the detail out. Here's an example of what I mean with my RC kit. By adding darker color in the grooves and along edges etc it can help pop the detail. Rather than it being painted all one color.
  4. Whats interesting here is that this kit was approved on 1/29/13 with the condition that the kit gets improved going forward. I assume it means the extra details of the kit (it references the inner leg detail and missing strap that should hold the knee on??)...but its not specifically saying that the kit has a soft pull. I wonder if any missing details could be applied to the kit separately (depending on what they are)? Sometimes fabricating certain pieces and applying them to the existing kit can be done to enhance the detail.

    Kit

Thanks for the help! Yes Wolfgangs armor is incredible! I love the overall detail. The entire kit really stands out. I'm just trying to understand what makers are out there and what my (or anyone else's) options are. I'm usually pretty good with budgeting armor, working with the makers, and in some cases fabricating pieces as needed. I guess I was looking for something a bit more budget friendly. Frankly Imperial Surplus and I believe "tc9948"'s armor is more affordable. If these two other types of armor out there are not legion approved, is it possible that (with maybe a little community help and guidance) they could be approved with some extra work to them? Just throwing it out there...again thanks for your help. Just want to say that everyone I've been in touch with from this detachment has been so helpful and nice! ....much appreciated!

    Kit

Quick question: Is Imperial Surplus's Sith armor (I believe its the jedi armor only with modifications) approvable by the Legion?
  7. Wow! (As jaw drops to the desk). Looks amazing.
  8. Awesome build! This is the direction I want to head in with my build. Still researching kit. Is this whole kit (armor and neckseal) from the maker Wolfgang?
  9. Hi everybody, I'm Andy from the Northeast Remnant Garrison out of New Jersey. Just wanted to say hello and announce that I will be working (slowly) on a Sith Acolyte. Gathering info right now and planning...and a little shopping around Definitely not new to the costuming world so looking forward to another challenging project!
