  1. I am also trying to find an Old Republic style lightsaber. I am having a temporary 3D one made in the hopes that I can have one made. If I find anything Ill let you know ASAP.
  2. Also, I am having a very difficult time finding a true Old Republic lightsaber build. A friend helped me pull rendering from the video game to get a proper 3D design for printing. I think its pretty close. Once the 3D printing is done I will post up pics.
  3. Here is our initial attempt for the armor. We went with a pleated 60/40 poly cotton blend done by a local seamstress. And yes, it feels amazing. I am a bit worried about the thickness.
  4. So, I started the process on Darth Malak about a month ago but wasn't aware of the need for forum posts. Sorry! I will continue to post photos from the build as they come. I have had a TON of help from local 501st members and would like to get your input as well. Please let me know what your thoughts are. My plan is to make individual posts with each of the different parts as they come together as there are several projects going at the same time. Thanks! Here are the concept photos pulled from the video game, models, and some concept art that I loved:
  5. As I posted in the Into thread, here is a composite of what I intend to base my Darth Malak build from. Please let me know if you have suggestions to make this build easier! http://jkl320.deviantart.com/art/Darth-Malak-483915844
  6. Hi! Im Corey from Georgia. Im currently a cadet for the Georgia Garrison, but I finally decided on my costume which brought me to the Flagship Eclipse. I shall become Darth Malak! I am currently building out the materials and will be posting pics as they come. My reasons for joining the 501st are simple. I had a chance to spend time with the local garrison and found an entirely new set of friends. I love the ideals presented and their mission to do charitable deeds in our local (and national) community. Thanks again for inviting me in!
