I have always been fascinated by the idea of non sword based lightsabers (such as Maris Brood and her tonfa or Lumiya and her lightwhip) and while some are easy to create and have function properly (like the lightsabers you can purchase at ultrasabers) others would be difficult. So I have to wonder if anyone has successfully created a "working" lightwhip, meaning one that functions as a whip and lights up. I had the idea to feed fibre optic wires through a clear hose and have that be the lightsaber portion of the whip but I want to get people's take on it. Has anyone tried that? I have heard of some issues with saberforge and have steered clear of them... my recommendation is to use http://ultrasabers.com instead... they may be a bit more expensive but they arrived quickly and you get what you order.. if there is going to be a delay with your order they contact you also. Just my two cents worth... Please note that I am in no way paid for my endorsement either through material or monetary incentives. I really just like the company. That's the problem I am still in the planning stage and I am trying to figure out how to adhere the armour to me and the best manner to pad it so that the fabric under layer won't bunch.. basically if anyone would be willing to take pictures of the inside of their trooper armour that would be greatly appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure if I am posting to the right area and if I'm not I apologize. I am trying to find a Legion storm trooper who can help me with a few points for my costume. I am trying to figure out how to a) not cause the fabric to bunch up around my shoulder/collar under the chest plate, what the inside of the chest plate looks like (as far as padding goes) and the best method people have found for attaching the chest plate to the back plate. Is medieval breastplate style preferred or should I try more of a Tron Legacy style and use neodymium magnets to attach them to me undershirt. Any thoughts advice is welcome! Thanks in advance! Here are the reference pictures I have been using for my Caedus Cosplay.. In regards to the lack of visual references other than fan art, that is due in large part to the fact that he was only in the novels and thus there weren't that many images released for him. Darth Caedus is largely going to be a fan interpretation based on the most common theme found in the fan art (his chest piece and belt for example) Now I am by no means an expert and cannot say it will be approved but that is the path I am following for my build and I can only hope it meets approval standards. Addendum-- I have since found a miniature released by Wizards of the Coast for the Star Wars Miniatures game of Darth Caedus. Hello! I am Michael, and I intend to join the Canadian Garrison with a Darth Caedus costume. I have wanted to join since I took my kids to a Star Wars Day event at our local library and several members were in attendance, taking photos and just having fun..
