  2. MWA also makes his own gloves and saber hilt but they aren't very good. I got them and had to replace them for approval. Motor cycle gloves will not work for approval. The gauntlet glove description above fits the reqs for approval. It'd be better if you can try them on first since they need to fit well but sometimes you have to buy them online. Mine were from a leather crafter on eBay. A good Nihilus saber can be custom made by Iggy from the Fx-sabers forums just send him a message. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Mine didn't fit my calves either so I cut them down to half-calf length. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I got my gloves from https://www.ebay.com/itm/171054688953 I highly recommend it to others as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Nhan Vo Requesting Detachment Membership Upgrade SL-75757 Darth Nihilus Garrison: Imperial Sands https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=21227
  6. Hey guys my name is Nhan Vo. I'd like to upgrade my forum membership to detachment member. I'm SL-75757 from the Imperial Sands Garrison in San Diego, CA. I've had an approved COTF Nihilus costume for a while now, but I didn't know I was supposed to post here to upgrade my forum membership.
  7. Hmm someone who looks like Samuel Witwer. He's got a pretty unique face. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'd like it as well. Thanks in advance!
  9. Ah thank you 64 The inner skirt of MWA's Nihilus is sewn into the outer skirt at the belt loop. Just weave a good belt through it and you can wear the whole set of skirts in one go. You also get a ribbed long sleeved tunic closed at the front with velcro, and you wear 2 sleeveless tunics on top of the ribbed tunic. Tunics are closed with a belt obi tied at the lower back, then a leather Nihilus belt on top of the obi.
  10. If you ever need to take restroom breaks then get a suit that will allow you to do so. I only have an undersuit for my FO TK. For Nihilus I have a long sleeve Under Armour used in football so it has a very small neck collar. Pants are black compression pants for hot days or black martial arts pants for windy days. I usually wear black martial arts pants anyways mainly because mine are rough and worn out from use. There no CRL requirements for these listed so I can understand the confusion.
  11. Looks like COTF Nihilus from MWA. The inner and outer dress have a split that should open midline between your legs in front. The way it's worn for the photo it looks a bit skewed to your right. If it's hard to walk without tripping I would shorten the dress at the waist to preserve the weathering at the bottom. Your GML will want close up photos of your gloves to make sure they fit correctly. I had to buy new gloves because the ones that came with mine were huge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. https://www.ebay.com/itm/201412617716 This would work too. Just make sure they're not too tight because feet swell up during a troop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Gloves look like they fit nicely. There should be no problem there as long as they're mostly plain with no details stitching. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Well then that's the problem. You can't use game files to reference for COTF Nihilus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Since this is for KOTOR 2 Nihilus it'll be a bit more difficult for them to make that argument about CRL pictures because some of the images for that CRLs from both our website and the 501st website haven't been completed yet, including the one you want for the cowl and cowl triangles. You only have this one image of a member's costume to go off of. http://databank.501st.com/mw501/images/thumb/9/9a/DarthNihilusKOTOR.jpg/500px-DarthNihilusKOTOR.jpg It also says in the description of the cowl that there needs to be a structure under the hood that helps create a square shaped head from a back view. I don't know if you had one under the cowl or not but from the pictures it looks like the top of your cowl needs to be shaped the correct way. This can be done with a layer of foam as well, it doesn't have to be plastic. This is SL-2272 from an old photo shoot. He did an amazing job on his KOTOR Nihilus. Hope he doesn't mind me mentioning him. http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f45/darth-nihilus-photo-shoot-pic-heavy-25591/
  16. I got baby hands so the gloves MWA made me got rejected by my GML. Are you able to pick things up okay with your gloves? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Just to make sure. Can we see your gloves worn with a full shot of your arm? They'll need to verify that with the approval photos as well. Also verify with your seller that your belt was ordered several sizes larger than you're used to since Nihilus has 4+ bunched layers around the waist. Those belts are expensive and you don't want to get them in the wrong size. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Photos look great! I wouldn't worry about the crown shape. It's perfect for COTF Nihilus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Anytime ✌️ The more thorough your initial application is the quicker your approval will be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Looks good but also need pics of you in costume with arms out (front, left, right, and back views). And of course they want you to send one without your mask on but in full costume as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. All the photos on my first post over on my thread are my submission pics. Include front and side views of your boots as well. It doesn't have to be poolside but it must have good lighting outdoors and include close-up detail shots of fabric for gloves, tunics (showing you have 2 of them), skirts (showing you have 2 of them), boots (showing they are plain), sleeves (showing they have a ridged pattern), detail on weathering, and your masks.
  22. Nice fit! The only adjustment I would make is to get an Under Armour or similar fabric balaclava to cover up the neck and your cheeks as they often peek out of the mask. Another would be if the skirts are difficult to walk with you can fold the belt loop and sew it over again to make walking easier. People tend to step on my beautiful dress. 23. Almost blinded myself the first time I turned one on from Iggy. That's a crazy powerful light inside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Nice! He makes a quality hilt. Looks similar to mine but mine is just slightly different from the art. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
