  1. Hi LightedDark, as the Legacy Canon for Revan is a male, there's no difference of gender to be concerned with. We have a lot of great costumers out there and our threads here are a great way to get started on your build. Feel free to dig in and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Hi Josue, welcome. I'm interested to see what you have out of leather, a few of us have been discussing a way to do a rigid armor, so please post what you have in the Revan threads and we'd love to have you join that discussion. Hi Luis, you have some pretty great folks with Carolina and Tyranus, love the 105th Squad guys too. Glad to have you, if we can be of any help, please let me know. and if you see Tiger or Vixen, say hi for me.
  2. Nice job hunting around so far. As a good rule of thumb, always make sure you've got reference photos handy. Annnd, don't let any Betas or launches slow you down too much!
  3. One of us, one of us.... Welcome Kevin, you're darn right it is time! We've got some great threads in the Acolyte section so be sure to check that out, and ask questions if you have any troubles. Naturally, your local guys can also be a great help. Welcome back Demon! Sorry again about that hiccup, we've taken every step possible to get that fixed. Moving forward! I'll be happy to send any potential Traya's your direction if you're interested in assisting. Glad to have you Liz.we're here to help in any choice you do decide to make. And your experience and expertise is appreciated. I'll be sure to keep your name in the back of my head if any new folks come asking questions. Also, very cool with Saber Guild. Some friends I know just got a group started and they're really enjoying it, I would like to see a group local to myself do more.
  4. Welcome Sebastian, we're here to help in any way we can. Hi Erin. You are certainly in the right place. We have a lot of information to read here, and hopefully provide some insight. Don't hesitate to ask if you get stuck! Welcome Leslie. We're going through the start from scratch issue a little here, helping my wife make a Jedi for Rebel Legion. Glad to have you back on the project though, we're here to help if you need anything. Hi Jeremy, check this link out and if you have any trouble, let me know http://www.theflagshipeclipse.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1530-sw-rebels-inquisitor/ Welcome Yee. We have our share of limited visibility costumes as well, if you ever feel like you're missing out. I'm all about the Lord version personally but we've got great information on the Tie Training gear also. As someone with an Officer, I like it a lot when I can see all the way, but I do have to be mindful of if I shaved or not. Welcome Laura. You're welcome to post in the Mara threads with what you have and we'll be happy to assist with any questions you may have. We have a pretty diverse group of folks, so we'll work in any way we can to communicate more effectively. Enjoy your stay!
  5. There are certainly worse fears to have. Always glad to have you Arlene. Welcome Shawn, Revan can be a lot of fun to wear. We have a few good boot threads this is one in particular. http://www.theflagshipeclipse.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1474-revan-boots/ There are also a couple others as well. The details above the ankle are less important than everything above the ankle in this case, as that's what we have the most reference of. As for a way to hold the saber, you might make a little sleeve inside the hakama to store it out of sight, but there's no reference to go on for attaching it traditionally. Hooray for lazy early 2000's programming. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help with. Hey Jeff, despite what might be seen, we've actually got a large amount of Kylo Ren R&D on these boards, and at least a couple members are complete or nearly complete on building their own kits. We don't have anything approved at the Legion level, but you might check out what they've got going already. We're definitely interested to see what you're working on also, so feel free to share your work! Let us know if we may be of any help.
  6. Welcome Josh! I definitely encourage some serious soul searching on that one. There's nothing wrong with doing a second choice later, but realistically when that second happens could be an even longer journey. Be sure you truly love your first pick! Definitely do your homework and let us know if we may be of any assistance. Glad to have you here Jonathan, I've been debating hitting you up for some fans for my new bucket. Goal is to get the kit done first though. Welcome aboard!
  7. I kept it simple: Aftermath, NO TK Black 6", and the Diecast Black Tie. Grats on your stepson's graduation, that's a huge thing.
  8. Welcome Chris, you're in the right place. We've got plenty of research material and great folks to help you stay challenged and to help you succeed. Welcome Nick, we've got quite a bit of information out there. As you read up, feel free to ask questions if you find something you'd like to know more about.
  9. Hey Kevin, welcome to the Flagship. I did 6 years at Offutt AFB and got out as a Staff Sergeant, if you ever have any questions Air Force-wise. Grats on a great assignment in HI. I lived there for 4 years while my dad was stationed there. I also had the joy of meeting the Pacific Outpost guys during my honeymoon, you've got a fine group of folks out there to work with. For your Sith Acolyte start out on the threads for the costume. Mynock's build thread is one of the best locations to start, but there is also a lot of great research and work in many of the other threads. Learn what you can, dig around, and when you come up with questions start them on a thread of your own. And if that doesn't get results, hit me up, and I will be happy to try and help contract the right people for you. Again, welcome! Hey Andy, most of the stuff in my message above to Kevin would also apply for you, though you've already got a good start going. I'm working on an Engineer for MMCC myself. http://imgur.com/a/8yI8t As always, if I may be of any assistance, please let me know.
  10. Sneaky admin already got you approved if I remember right. It was a beer or two ago but you appear to be good to go now. If you do need any further help, feel free to ask.
  11. Welcome Iceman, we're here to help you out every step of the way.
  12. Welcome back! I just checked and you appear to be listed in Reserve status on 501st.com If you wish to get that changed you'll need to pay a visit there as well. In any case, glad to have you!
  13. Infosec is a program close to my heart, very cool and welcome! We've got some great folks over in the Acolyte threads, and there is a lot of great information to help you get started. The same can be said for Nihilus as well. Welcome Laura. We welcome you to create a thread showing off your work here as well. That way if you need any assistance we can help you, additionally, it may end up helping someone else. Welcome Michael, We have a few pioneers in that area, feel free to dig around and see what information you can find that may be of use to you. And if you ever need help, don't hesitate to ask.
  14. welcome Angi, I thought I had replied to this one, apologies for slipping. I would start a post in the R&D Section to get started and we can start there. My first thought is actually a breathable sleeve of some form, though dark ink behind a light color may still pose a problem. Just an idea. Welcome Das. We've got a lot of resources available when you'd rather wear 15 lbs of fabric instead of armor, feel free to check out what we've got and ask any questions you may have!

    Back

    Welcome back Kevin.
  16. Firstly, apologies to all for the delay there. Short version is that I got a new job which I start on Monday and it has been a hectic week and a half for me. I got you updated Willy, welcome back! Welcome Brooks. We're working on sorting out some merch stuff, and that machine should be back up and running soon. Welcome to Flagship. EU has a great selection of costumes to work with, and you have certainly come to the right place for both you and your wife. I keep trying to settle on a costume for my wife as well. You've got a great group of folks out there in Virginia, between their help and ours you should be on a good path. Welcome Brother, please let us know if we can assist you in any way. It is never too soon to start posting! Welcome officially! If we can be of assistance, feel free to let us know. Plenty of research material available here! Welcome! Hey Rob, this is the place to look. We've got plenty of resources available here and if you're not already in contact with him, reach out to Alan Molina, or I'll point him to you if needed, he's a local resource for you in your Unit and you can benefit a lot from his help. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. Welcome Christian, when you're ready to start your next project, we'll be ready and able to help you along the way!
  17. Lounge is fair game for posting pretty much, however, if not here, I certainly hope folks notice your post in the Ventress section. I've shown it to a few extra people tonight.
  18. Welcome Joey! We look forward to seeing you approved. If you need any help with that process please let us know! I went ahead and updated your access to 501st Member. Enjoy your stay!
  19. Hey there Joel, sorry for the delayed reply here. TheCloneEmperor is the first person I suggest you meet and talk to, he has a fantastic costume already and can likely provide you with some great wisdom. Be sure to get your own posts and research going as well, we'll help you in any way we can. Hey there Jacob, as a former NCO, I can tell you one thing: Manage your newfound finances responsibly, but, enjoy them! We'll be here when you get back from Basic, and while you're there, be sure to have all your family and loved ones send you letters. I suggest bringing pre-addressed and stamped envelopes, and even some extras, so that you can spend any free time you get writing, and not filling out envelopes. Also make a small notebook with only addresses in it, as anything extra will likely get confiscated. Just food for thought, all the best and thank you for raising your hand. Once you're ready to begin your path down the Dark Side, we'll be ready to help you out in any way we can. Until then, enjoy your stay around here. Great choice there, we've got a few already approved and certainly wouldn't mind more. Be sure to gather your research, do your homework, and feel free to start a topic with your own work in progress. Welcome to the Flagship. Glad to see you back Todd, I'd love to see you around here more often, and certainly appreciate all you've done already for our Members. Let's get you approved and made official! Seriously, welcome back. Welcome! We would be happy to answer any questions you have. We have a lot of great information for you as well. As you begin your work, we would love to see your progress and help you as you proceed.
  20. I updated you to 501st Member, I couldn't verify if you had a Flagship Costume or not because there aren't currently any costumes listed on your profile. Once that's updated, if you have a Flagship costume I'll be happy to transfer your status to Detachment Member. Please let me know if you need any further assistance and sorry for any confusion. Updated! Welcome!
  21. As for feedback notes, I'm pretty darn impressed all around, nice upgrades to hooks and rings. The red sash really shouldn't show much if at all above the Big O Ring (BOR) though, Additionally, the bottom edge of the sash should be in line with the bottom edge of the hakama and slightly above ground. By either hemming the bottom edge of the hakama, or wearing it higher on your waist/stomach, you can get it to sit right. I actually belt my hakama at the belly button, not at the hip bone. The last note would be the hood which seems to shelf out front a little, and create a tent peak. Here is a great example of the shape using wool: I'd definitely say what you've got is approve-able, but these recommendations will only make what you've already got even better.
  22. Life kicks in sometimes, a little slower than planned, and then upload issues. Here are shots of the sash I have, the attachment points, and a 34" belt for reference.
  23. Update: Had unexpected plans come up today, and tomorrow I am busy for sure. Pictures on Sunday, promise.
  24. Welcome, Michael, my neighbor to the slightly southeast. I'm up north of KC. We have some great threads on Kylo, so feel free to dig in, and as always, we welcome any questions. Hey there Jay, I've got Aurora on my list of possible locations to move to, nice area. There are many many who have come before you, so feel free to dig in with both hands and learn what you can over in the pages of threads for Nihilus, and naturally, if you have any questions or need any help, please speak up. We have some great costumers in that area. Hey there Nicole, looks like you already have local folks on here waiting for you, excellent. Everyone has to start somewhere, and this somewhere is a great place to start. Naturally, between here and the help from your local folks, we should be able to help you get started with everything you need, and aide you every step of the way. if you ever feel like you need some extra help, please speak up! Oh NO! Private message and personal assisstance is on the way! Sorry for the delayed response any any troubles. You'll have a great time getting called Kylo Ren while dressed as Darth Revan, I am sure of this. Welcome Drew and we can certainly help you in both areas, feel free to start your own work in progress threads on both suits, and we'll help in any way we can. Welcome Eveln, We can help all across the board, possibly even with Satele questions. Feel free to dig around the threads for any information you may need, and certainly speak up with any questions. Let us know how we may help you better! Good to hear Fabian, feel free to post your own thread with lots of good pictures and we can help you make sure you're ready for approval. Welcome to Flagship. Now is as good a time as any Dennis, welcome to Flagship. That Acolyte will be very hot down in Florida but we're happy to help you out in any way we can. Naturally Mynock's post is a good place to start, but also be sure to dig around and check out other threads and I am sure you will find what you need. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
