This costume cannot be approved at the local level by your GML.

Required Costume Components

The following costume components are present and appear as described below.

Kotor2-nihilus-cowl-with-mask.jpg Cowl
  • The cowl is made of opaque black fabric with a suitable drape.
  • It includes a correctly sized triangle over each temple, and the back of the head is unusually square in shape. These effects are best produced by attaching a support structure to the top of the white mask, which the cowl may then be draped over.
  • The cowl is attached to the upper edge of the white mask in order to block the top of the head from view.
  • The cowl drapes downward and rests on the costumer's chest, creating a closed oval frame around the face.
  • The cowl does not have to be attached to the cape, but an invisible connection is acceptable.

Nihilus KOTORII mask.png Mask
  • The flat-featured mask is white or off-white in color with no weathering effects and NO skull-like features.
  • The mask extends from the lips to at least the top of the forehead, and may continue further beneath the cowl.
  • Two red stripes are located over the eye holes. Each red stripe extends upward with a slight taper.
  • A metallic silver forehead design consists of a two layered bar that goes from the top edge of the nose to the top of the forehead, with silver oval details in the middle and at the top of the forehead.
    • There are small silver, "beads" in decreasing size on the left and right sides of the top center detail along the edge of the mask.

(Note: the COTF Skull-style mask is NOT approvable for KOTOR II Darth Nihilus)

SL nihilus cotf blackout.jpeg Face Covering
  • The costumer's face is blacked out behind the white mask. This may be accomplished with a sculpted black mask, or a tight-fitting fabric blackout mask that shows facial features.
    • If a sculpted mask is used, wearer must also use a black balaclava underneath to cover the neck.

Kotor2-nihilus-cape.jpg Cape
  • The cape is made of an opaque black fabric.
  • It is attached to the outer tunic at the front of the shoulders, using a gathered or pinched seam with very large stitching.
    • The attachment can be a permanent seam or removable so long as the removable attachment points are hidden from view.
    • The cape is attached under the tunic.
  • The cape hangs back over the shoulders, reaching nearly to the floor.

SL traya shirt.jpg Shirt
  • The shirt is made of opaque black fabric that is form-fitting and has long sleeves.

Kotor2-nihilus-outertunic.jpg Outer tunic
  • The outer layer consists of a somewhat fitted sleeveless tunic with a layer of heavy padding hidden under the fabric of the chest area.
    • High loft quilt batting or a more rigid material may be used to create the padded look of the tunic chest.
    • The outer fabric is not sewn to the base of this padding; instead it hangs loosely over the stomach.

Kotor2-nihilus-gloves.jpg Gloves
  • The black gloves reach to the top of the forearms.
  • The gloves do not have any straps, buckles, snaps, or extra decoration, and they should not have a large flare at the top opening.

Kotor2-nihilus-skirt and obi.jpg Skirt and Obi
  • The skirt is made of opaque black fabric that reaches nearly to the floor.
  • The skirt is made with enough material to create a gathered effect around the body, and is not tight or form-fitting.
  • The obi is approximately 4-5 cm in width depending on the height of the wearer.
  • If desired, the obi may be incorporated into the waistband of the skirt.

SL nihilus cotf boots.jpeg Boots
  • Plain black boots are worn. They do not have visible straps, buckles, or laces.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

SL visas saber.jpg Lightsaber
  • The hilt resembles one of the Knights of the Old Republic II single bladed lightsaber hilts.
  • If the lightsaber has a blade, the blade must be red in color.

(Note: The COTF Hilt is NOT approvable with the KOTOR II style)
