  2. Hi everyone! Finally got my butt in gear and got my clone wars asajj approved and hopefully the first of many asajj approvals for me. I made every single aspect (except my lightsaber) from scratch without much experience before so I’m really proud of this one 😊🥰 I’m a brand new member of the pikes peak squad and the mountain garrison! Excited for all the new experiences to come 💕

  5. Hello This one I missed, sorry about that. Your cape and skirt will need to be taken up a bit, they should not be touching the ground, also your gloves - I am not a fan of the seam around the wrist, not sure if your GML will allow it or not. Other than that, looks nice - good luck.
  6. The Dark Over Lord, Sith Legend Darth Malgus! Known as the Deceiver and accomplished War Lord, has campaigned his sacking of Coruscant and Alderan to make a new attack on a Planet called Earth, way beyond the Outer Rim system! S.L. 19290 of the T.F.E. and German Garrison has finally taken on the leading role as the Only Darth Malgus in Europe for the time being, and is looking forward meeting new T.F.E. members and aiming his goal to premiering in a upcoming Gala Event Show if needed.... Upon any information that is needed I will gladly always offer my experience in the character as well in building and prop making aspects to the costume... From Health issue precautions and finance capabilities to acquire such a costume, feel free to ask any questions. The character is not a easy one nor should it be approached lightly, but has a magnificent characteristic to the Star Wars Expanded edition. Enjoy from Events 11.05.19 Power of the Force Con, Obershausen Germany 29.06.19 Comic Con Convention, Stuttgart Germany 29.09.19 Speyer XII Technique Museum Convention, Speyer Germany
  7. Hey guys! I just applied for approval, cross posting here to hopefully get direct feedback. Thank you in advance for any help! https://imgur.com/a/wXOSjfE

  9. Almost 1 year ago I was starting to build my Second Sister Costume. I'm super happy with the costume! Here is the final result, I am really happy with it, it was a real challenge. A lot of stress while making the soft parts, I wanted it to fit me like a glove. The seamstress did an exceptional job and was always available. Hard parts are also custom-made, 3D printed. The seller wanted to provide me with quality work and put a lot of effort and time into it too. They are passionate people. In overall this costume is a real challenge to wear, the helmet offers little space, I bought a 4 cm mini fan but I don't feel much air. I need to see if the Opleprops fans would work. They specialize in fans for helmets. For the moment I'm waiting for my 501 validation but I'm crossing my fingers! In 2 weeks, first convention with my costume
  10. That looks so much better Good luck
  11. I’ve modified some aspects of the costume based on feedback from @Heavy1973. Thank you! - Skirt: I hemmed the bottom to secure the edges - Cape: I took off an additional inch and now it no longer reaches the floor - Gloves: I folded the end once then stitched to secure - Balaclava: I remembered to wear one this time 😂 Updated pictures have been submitted to GML. I hope everything goes well. 🤞🏽
  12. Hi guys! I've recently approved my A'Sharad Hett costume. I'll attach pictures below for fun, as I know you always like to see the costumes 😄 I was wondering if I can use a lightsaber belt clip, as the comics image below is the only one I've found that could be used as a sort of reference (you can't see the clip) but I'm not sure if it's taken from comics or just fan made. Ideally I'd carry just one of them in one hand and the other would be attached to the belt. Has this been confirmed somewhere? Can I make my own belt clip or are there some requirements for that? I was thinking about something with the design of the covertec clip. Thank you!!
  13. Hey all. went to my local con on Saturday. The kit held fairly well together. Couple of headspikes snapped off, thermal detonators fell off and bandolier velcro came loose. The rest held up great. Spoke with the 501st leather worker and discussed getting a proper bandolier. Other than that got some good pictures of it. The scarf on the pictures are underneath it, its supposed to be on top so the bandolier attachment methods are hidden; definitely going to use some velcro or something to keep it in place in the future. Tunic sleeves will definitely have to be more up, arm spike will need a better attachment method to keep it in place. Might also just attach the waist sash to the tunic. I'll also definitely look into adding some sintra or something to my shoulders to get them wider. Tunic definitely also needs some weathering. Will also redo the dried up blood on the helmet with a darker paint. Missing the arm tubes and hand robotics still, will be one of the first things I'll add. Any other changes that you guys see that'll need to happen that I haven't summed up? Still a lot of work ahead! Will also try posting more info on helmet paints and such this week or next week for anyone trying to get the same finish as myself. Thanks for reading and thanks in advance!
  14. I can't really recommend linen for the inner dress, it creases a lot! I've used a faux crepe de chine for my dress and veil and they drape beautifully.
  15. Hey all! I’ve started on this build by printing the mask, now onto the costume and I have a question / request for opinions on colour. The jumpsuit under the cape has so far been done in black on here, however the concept art and some shots in ToTJ almost make it look as if it’s a dark grey? I interpreted it as grey when contrasted with the boots (before joining the group and seeing other builds) so I was wondering if this fabric might be any good? Also if anyone has STL files for the forearm gauntlets or belt boxes, or can point me in the right direction, I’d be forever grateful!
  16. Hi Which version are you going for ? Regarding the fabric for the inner dress and veil, I went with a polyesterblend that has some weight to it, so both the veil and dress/sleeves would drape nicely.
  17. Your welcome Regarding the gloves, if you are satisfied that the gloves are not a nuisance in your elbow joint then it is not something that I consider a problem, was more if they went beyond the joint. LOL I think we've all tried to forget to put something on when we jump in our suits - I forgot one time to put on my knee armor on my scout, but luckily I noticed it before heading out, and I had put that armor on a million times 😂 I think you´ll need to put in new pics, as this costume will be approved by the Legion MLs and not by your own GML team, also if your cape on the pics are touching the floor, then it will be pushed back to your GML team for corrections. Looking forward to seeing the end result
  18. I have no clue where to start with this. I'm not sure what kind of fabric I should be getting for the underdress. Linen seems lile the most logical choice but I'm not totally sure.
  19. Updated my progression list, going to my local comic con tomorrow with this costume and hoping to get some proper pictures there, will also meet up with the local 501st garrison for feedback. I'll post all of the progress what and hows tomorrow after the con or the day after if I'm exhausted tomorrow! A little sneakpeak:
  20. Thanks @Heavy1973! I'm happy to hear that the skirt length is good. I will make some adjustments to shorten the cape a little bit more. Thanks for the input! As for the gloves, they end before my elbow, it's kind of hard to see since the shirt wrinkled where it met the gloves. I would be happy to fold them if you imagine this will be an issue. And I completely forgot to wear the balaclava for the pictures I submitted for approval. I may have to redo that 🤣 Appreciate it!
  21. Very nice work on the sound glove The skirt lenght looks fine, as long as it doesn´t touch the floor, and the cape needs to be taken off the floor, it is also not allowed to touch it. Your gloves are very long, I know that the CRL states, that they shall reach the top of the midarm, but they look like they go out over your elbow ? Perhaps a single fold on them would look better. Do remember to wear a balaclava, so no skin is being shown, when you do your approval pictures Good luck
  22. Hello guys, I'd like to become a member of the detachment. Here's my link: https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=36577&costumeID=108 Thanks
  23. Hey people, LucasFilm and Disney just announced a new show coming named "Tales of the Empire"! And the unknown inquisitor is also in it! Hopefully this will help everybody to make the costume perfect
  24. I was able to test out the kit last night. I had to fold the skirt and cape so I don't clean the floor everywhere I go. I folded the skirt 2 inches and the cape 4 inches. IDK if folding the skirt at this length was too much and if I should go back to 1 or 1.5 inches instead. Looking at the images in the reference gallery, the skirt seems to be touching the floor (or really close to it) and the cape is hanging just a tad bit higher. CRL states the skirt "reaches nearly to the floor". Any thoughts are appreciated. I was able to hide the speaker underneath the cowl but was too sleepy to take more photos of it so I can do this next time. Sound glove fits nicely under the main black glove. Overall I'm happy with how it looks so far.
  25. Looking much better with the shorten of the cape and skirt, and with the cape placed correctly over the shoulders, boots are fine. Not sure what you mean by the text being vague though, from the CRL : "Plain black boots are worn. They do not have visible straps, buckles, or laces" - there is also a picture showing how they should look. Good to go
  26. Similar to others before, I got myself a Wickedarmor Darth Nihilus. Here are the current results. I'm not quite sure about the boots. The CRL is pretty vague about those so, for now, I chose the ones in the picture. Any help would be appreciated.
