Grounded 2 is the much-anticipated follow-up to Grounded, a survival crafting game inspired by the shrinking premise of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. The game released in Early Access on July 29th and has already amassed a steady trend of concurrent players on Steam. But the whole point of Early Access is to keep making the game better, which means updates and patches are a given. Now, Obsidian has released the first major update to Grounded 2 since it launched, and it’s a good one.

After just over a week in Early Access, Grounded 2 has achieved a Mostly Positive rating on Steam. Clearly, players are enjoying what they have seen from the game so far. And Obsidian is already putting the feedback it has received to good use, with several of today’s changes coming from player feedback.

Update 0.1.2 for Grounded 2 went live on August 6th for PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S. It delivers several requested quality-of-life updates, along with a number of bug fixes. Most importantly, acorn tops are now a guaranteed drop. Character icons and Steam access to Crossplay have also been tweaked, along with a few more adjustments for UI clarity. There are also several major bug fixes, including overall performance improvements and tweaks to buggies.
