Body suit pattern

Here is the pattern I am going to modify:

View A with a modified front (remove zipper from going all the way down the front) and back (add a short zipper or snap closures) should work. The alternative is to have snap closures along the shoulder seam line instead - which I am leaning more towards since that won't be visible at all. I really don't like using zippers if I can find a way to avoid them. Most of the center front seam will be covered by armour and the chest box so it won't be that visible. The back will be hidden by the cloak.

I found some silver spandex material which I will use with the black side out. The silver gives a neat sheen effect under the black that way. Now I just have to find some time to do some sewing...

I have also been thinking about Lumiya's body suit. The picture that I'm really referencing a lot is the one with her confrontation with Mara. Anyway, I bought some black spandex-type fabric and "puffy" paint tonight to copy the wiring pattern on her suit. I just did a small square. Comments would be greatly appreciated.

That looks amazing, but how durable is it? My suggestion would be actual ?wiring? affixed to the suit. Use a thin-strand nylon cord and either fabric staples or sewing it at the corners. With the nylon cord, it can be used with the liner inside it to give it a thicker look or without to allow it to look flat. Either way, it will stand out slightly from the base fabric while still looking like part of it.

Metallic colored elastic cord. It's used in beading and comes in a variety of colors. I asked on one of the C3PO builders forums and that was what many of them use to get the wire look with flexibility to it. You can get it in most craft stores if you look around a bit.
