Kylo question

I saw Kylo Ren is on the SL crl and I was wondering why he wasn't put here. JJ Abrams and Disney said he IS NOT a sith but more like an inquisitor. So many costumes here I think belongs there like Assaj, Talon and Acolyte. So if these dont qualify as sith lords, why does Kylo Ren when he's specified not a true Sith?

I would honestly love to see if there are more Knights of Ren. And if there are at least 4-5 of them, I would expect a new Detachment to rise. Same thing happened with the Clones. THey were under whitearmor briefly but then had their own detachment shortly after the second movie. (If I understand my 501st history correctly.)

But to me, the title Darth doth not a Sith make. Even under the old EU, during the time shortly before Darth Bane once again took up the mantle of Darth; there was the Brotherhood of Sith. None had taken the title Darth but all were considered Sith. So I think they are in the right place right now.

We are in a very strange time right now. The entire detachments IMHO have been turned upside down due to TFA and while we can "fit people in" here and there, sometimes places are a better fit.

The Flagship Eclipse is for Expanded Universe costumes. By definition Kylo is not that

Ill quote maz: "They used to be called the Sith, then the empire now it is the first order"

Kylo is the same IMHO. He by definition of what used to be the term "Sith" He is a "Darkdside Cannon Movie Force User" which would fit much closer.

Inquizitor is a "Cannon Television Dark Side User"

Remember up until 6 months or so ago the "Flagship Eclipse" was 100% cannon. Just because Disney took that away doesnt mean we wont build more Cannon Expanded Universe Costumes (hence I assume why you would ask about Kylo)

But IMHO this is not the place for Kylo. :)

Hope that helps explain my insane thoughts.

I'd like to see a First Order detachment honestly.  There's enough differences across the board in many of the costumes.  Plenty of similarities, but we separated Clone from TK and they're both white armor.

Kylo is in the SLD because he was welcomed there, with other movie Dark-Siders. Costumes find a home where they will have support and people to look after CRL's help and aid those working on them.

Kylo found a home with the SLD and has been well cared for there.

There are many knights of Ren seen in the movie. If they opted there could certainly be a new detachment founded.

At some point many years from now sure this could happen. But yes there were many more people fighting to have Kylo than to "toss him" to another detachment. I was the Legion 1st Kylo and I'm the CRL image and I helped write the CRL. Thomas would have welcomed Kylo with open arms but when ever I make a costume I try and decide with great care where would a general member go if they want to make a wip.

Long story I made a Force Unleashed Princess Leia costume. Upon writing the CRL for the Rebel Legion I consulted where I thought the costume should fall.

Is she more a jedi or is she more a

Princess?

In the end I ultimately decided based on what others perceive Leia as and for the majority people would say she is a Princess, so we made her the senatorial detachment for that costume despite fighting Starkiller.

Kylo is a great example of this. It's not what JJ says, it's not what Disney says, it's what the general public perceive this costume as and well if you ask almost any kid they will answer 'he's that new Sith guy "

I hope this helps!
