Costume components:

1. Cowl: The cowl is made of opaque black fabric with a suitable drape. It includes a correctly sized triangular over each temple, and the back of the head is unusually square in shape. These effects are best produced by attaching a support structure to the top of the white mask, which the cowl may then be draped over. The cowl is attached to the upper edge of the white mask in order to block the top of the head from view. The cowl drapes downward and rests on the costumer's chest, creating a closed oval frame around the face. The cowl does not have to be attached to the cape, but a connection is acceptable.

2. Mask: The stylized skull-like mask is white or off-white in color. The mask extends from the lips to at least the top of the forehead, and may continue further beneath the cowl. The mask has two red stripes. Located over the eye holes, each red stripe extends upward with a slight taper. The mask has a metallic silver forehead design. The design consists of a two layered bar that goes from the top edge of the nose to the top of the forehead. It includes a silver oval in the center of the forehead and a fan shaped silver design at the edge of hood.

3. Face Covering: The costumer's face is blacked out behind the white mask. This may be accomplished with black body paint, a sculpted black mask, or a tight-fitting fabric blackout mask. The eyes are hidden with black sclera lenses or the fabric of a blackout hood.

4. Cape: The cape is made of an opaque black fabric. It is sewn to the outer tunic at the front of the shoulders, using a gathered seam with very large stitching. The cape hangs back over the shoulders, reaching nearly to the floor.

5. Inner tunic: The inner tunic is made of opaque black fabric. The tunic is form-fitting and has long sleeves.

6. Outer tunic: The outer layer is made of opaque black fabric. It consists of a somewhat fitted sleeveless tunic and a layer of heavy padding or armor hidden under the fabric of the chest area. High loft quilt batting or a more rigid material may be used to create the padded look of the tunic chest. The outer fabric is not sewn to the base of this padding; instead it hangs loosely over the stomach.

7. Gloves: The black gloves reach at least halfway up the forearms. The gloves do not have any straps, buckles, snaps, or extra decoration, and they should not have a large flare at the opening.

8. Obi: The obi is made of opaque black fabric and is approximately 4 cm in width. The obi is worn at the waist to gather the outer layer in tight to the body. If desired, the obi may be incorporated into the waistband of the skirt.

9. Skirt: The skirt is made of opaque black fabric that reaches nearly to the floor. The skirt is made with enough material to create a gathered effect around the body, and is not tight or form-fitting.

10. Boots: Plain black boots are worn. They do not have visible straps, buckles, or laces.

Costume Accessories:

11. Lightsaber: The hilt resembles the Knights of the Old Republic II single handed lightsaber hilt. If the lightsaber has a blade, the blade is red in color.
