Invisible Shoes for the Barefoot Look

Since Mara wears no shoes while wearing the blue and black dress, and since going barefoot is rarely advised and often against the dress code at conventions and events, here's a great tutorial for making "invisible" shoes using transparent shoe insoles and flesh toned mesh fabric!

Another option is the "stick-on" type of "topless sandals" which are sold online. However these tend to be thicker and have bright colors, so they're less "invisible" than the insole trick.

I saw this come across my FB feed and I'm interested in making these for a few of my costumes I've got a question about durability, if anyone makes these let us know how they hold up on surfaces other than carpet.
