  1. Custom made shirt. But I needed it due to my hakama being made with the gigantic V slits on both sides.
  2. Understandable. My gf and I do this for fun, we let the kiddos rampage around outside while we work.
  3. Going off silicone for a mold, if you use a silocone brush you can pull the resin off it after you're done. Should be 5 bucks at most in most places food aisles. I may have to grab some tape.
  4. Painting can be done by you. I went with Lion's Den, raw cast and painted it myself. It looks decently abused. One disappointing thing is the mold for the cast is off on one side. Which is very noticeable in person and raw with no hood, reasonably noticeable in this shot too.
  5. I would wager http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MPS-Pommel-style-3-v2-P90.aspx or http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MPS-Pommel-style-3-v1-P502.aspx
  6. Got my Lion's Den mask and started on the cleanup/prep work for priming. Included in the raw cast was basic mounting hardware, an elastic nylon band plus rivets and a thin strip for use as the visor. Neither of these were listed on the etsy page The mask itself is built like a tank very thick resin throughout and doesn't weigh much. The detail on it is killer and well executed. As for mic mounting, I'm not sure how to do so yet since I don't have the slot cut to see how it fits on my melon.
  7. Good to know, I did a quickie check on them. Lion's Den got ahold of me, my mask ships on the 11th.
  8. I met Bill Doran when he was here in Boise a couple years back for Tree City ComicCon, I have his Foamsmith books. They're a necessity for working with EVA. About Worbla, after doing a small bucketload of research I found the formula to make it from scratch and know a couple people who can hook me up with half of the materials needed to make it. On cloth, my beloved gf is a master level costumer per International Costumers Guild rules. My soft parts are lovely although in need of some work atm. My hakama for example are made to resemble traditional hakama including being made of 4.5 yards (yes you read that correctly) of fabric. My shirt was also made from scratch and if my idea, mask purchase, and her measurements are correct I won't need a balaclava. I will however bug you when it comes to worbla stuff. Here in Idaho the scene as a whole is poor and people using exotic materials..or making armor for that matter is next to nil. Most folks here just can't afford Worbla.
  9. Who's mask is that? Big water? Lion's Den?
  10. Thanks for this, showed it to my gf who's helping me out. I've restarted my Revan armor from scratch due to some seriously incorrect measurements. Once I'm done with a little more experimenting I may go ahead and toss up the pattern I used on here. I'm not pleased I have to use EVA foam but toss some bondo on it and it should be okay.
  11. That would depend how large all of these things are. Somewhat unrelated, I did car audio install work professionally and did a few stealth installs but I also had the vehicles there, the hardware present, etc so it was just a matter of removing things to see how it all could fit in place. I've seen MWA in person, if it were me I'd be tempted to tell you to grab the new undermask thingy and try working with that. BUT I need more info on the voice change box before I can recommend throwing a bunch of money at the situation just to be wrong.
  12. I'm planning this, which mask do you have? I've got a Lion's Den on the way which has cheek extensions on it. I'm thinking either add to the bottom or mount them on the cheeks.
  13. Bracers are fairly easy any medieval style with a clamshell design will work. The cuirass falls into the same category you could probably use a European cuirass for a base and modify that pattern. I did a quickie pattern for the hard part then had my girlfriend draw on the cuirass the design from the armor as seen in game, I will be making the ridges out of craft foam. The hand plates were fairly easy as well. I did mine differently from what MWA does, mine are designed to be used on the appropriate hand. I used samurai armor as a reference.
