  1. They look pretty solid so long as they stay up and don't collapse / crumple too much. I know for LadyB's we brushed on some grey colour to look more like the animated one as well.
  2. We used metal buckles as seen in the CRL. You could use Sintra is careful too. The template I made and in her thread was to make a template to then paint the red details. If you wanted to make a positive I guess you could do. If in question credit is appreciated. It would need to be thoroughly sealed if printed as the red shapes. As noted I carefully cut them out then painted. If you were using a cricut or something you could do that, just be sure they are well attached and sealed.
  3. 1. There isn't a hard, firm, it must be this as it is interpreting a 3d model and texture maps. I'd recommend something that fits well and has some stretch to match the look of what is seen in the animation for the grey and black parts. Be sure that the colour varies, to look like how it is presented, as best you can.For the red, my wife used a crushed taffeta. If you'd like there are some who jumped in, but her build thread is here: 2. For the medallions and greeves I used Sintra (Extruded PVC) Other things could work, but it worked well for us. For the straps we used leather that we covered in the cloth materials to match the textures. 3. Sure. So long as they lay flat and match your makeup well enough to not distract that should be fine.
  4. I would not use that "licensed" costume as reference for anything. Focus on images from The Clone Wars. Like many things in TCW it is multi-tonal. If there are inaccuracies, you can work with the detachment leader and her team to address those and once cleared by the LMOs things could be adjusted.
  5. Ah, my bad, that is indeed not the same one, the other appears to have been archived.
  6. The updated link is here: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:DS-Barriss_Offee:_Asajj_Disguise
  7. Best of luck with the photos. If your GML has any questions let me know. We hope all goes well.
  8. Sounds good. Oh the middle of the shirt is vinyl? Interesting. No changing that would require special boot paint. Not a big deal.
  9. No. The lighter part of the top is ideally a little more grey, but you look well on the right track. Do tell on other questions, Brita (LadyB) and I would be happy to help. Brita and I made templates for the tattoos if those would help.
  10. As far as belt construction goes they should be circular rings. as to attaching sabers to it the one figure has a covertec on both sides, the comics and animations the sabers basically hang magically from the middle or sides.
  11. It is PM replied to. Best of luck with it.
  12. The link does work. If interested send me a pm, happy to share.
  13. Be sure and take them without con badges and in the best light and simplest background possible. Posting here is fine, be sure and also email to the LMO address @ 501st.com. Thanks.
  14. I agree. I think it would be fine to have gauntlets optional on the first. Also I would keep the gold, comic are quick and have fast turn over and I would concur that it was probably an accident to not include those details. The IK is another outfit as noted and would have its own CRL.
  15. and do tell if LadyB or can can assist, happy to do so.
  16. If you love the character / design, do it. Between the Character Style Sheet, Cover art and pre-vis this one should be fine for approval if done well. It has several things in common with her Bounty Hunter outfit, but is unique in many ways. It would be a Legion first so you'll want to work with the Detachment and me to get a CRL together. Very best of luck with it.
  17. Yankee71 is right, this one does have a blank CRL and can be approved pending LMO/DL Review. To clarify, the rules concerning New to Legion costumes have not changed, but this specific costume was a grandfathered costume from before the rule was enacted. So how we handle it is a touch different. It is great that the content is being worked on so that it can have a complete Reference Library. Nothing has been received at lmo@501.com for review. Do let Dawn and I know as content is available for it.
  18. No problem, happy to help. I know sewing that piece was one of the things my wife did several times to finally get how she wanted it (DS-7998 LadyB).
  19. Hello, Legion Membership Officer here. The Ep. 2 Concept Asajj can be seen with the collar armour going over her shoulders and also smaller and not overlapping like the Sideshow figure. Both are perfectly viable for approval. So long as it is well fitted and not bunching it should be fine. It should have clean lines etc. Feel free and have the GML post in the GML thread or contact lmo@501st.com if there are questions, thanks.
  20. Agreed, the chest area is wider spacing. The sides and arms are tighter between lines / ribbing.
