  1. And you. My apologies for being slightly spaced out at times. Lack of sleep and trying to keep track of when and when for everything played on my mind quite a lot.
  2. Hi, requesting full access on clearing my Bastila Shan, Fallen https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=27448 Sent from my motorola edge 20 pro using Tapatalk
  3. Re-did my photos this morning, as I was not happy with my hair or make up in the previous set of photos. Nothing else has changed, as it was previously commented that the costume looked good.
  4. Finally I did it, boots have been altered and kitted up yesterday completely. I had a brain dump and couldn't work out how to do my hair. Of course, during the night I mentally worked out how I should have done it. Hopefully though it won't hold it up too much and require another full kit up. The boot clips have now been permanently attached in place, so that there is no way of losing them.
  5. So, the only thing holding with entire thing up now, it's the boots. How terrifying is it, to trim boots at the top and seal them, somehow, so that I can complete the costume.... Rhetorical question, obviously. I guess at some point, I'm going to have to pick up the courage and cut them. I can't stand not having this costume cleared. 😊

  7. After a period of quietness, on my part I have been working away at this in the background. Unfortunately at present I can't move any further forward with this, as I need to work out how to alter the tops of my boots. I wore this, incompleted last weekend at an event. Please note however, this isn't submitted or cleared yet, as the boots need finishing. So instead I attended as general public. This may not be the best photo, however I forgot to get some proper pictures taken, so this is one of 2 photos that friends have found and sent me. Amazingly, the decoration on the boots stayed put, having printed them last week. I need to smooth and sand them, however once they are finished properly, I'll fix them to the boots.
  8. Thanks. Courtesy of online shopping, some additional clip in hair arrived yesterday. I just haven't had time to cut them into suitable sizes yet. When I tried the tunic and other bit s on, I only had my work trousers to hand. So I need to find something of a suitable style. For the boots, I've got some coming from Fubtasma which should be good.
  9. Obviously I need to get some boots and sort out the square detail, plus work out how to essentially thicken my hair in order to have the necessary fullness in the braids.
  10. Whilst working on Lana, as a long build, Bastila Shan was brought to my attention. Particularly as I wanted to focus on Dark Side costumes for a while, as I have a number with RL, I did not specifically want to focus on Bastila Shan. However when I noticed that the dark side variant was now approvable, my interest was peaked. Due to still having my hair dyed brown for Jyn Erso, the interest in not having to change my hair colour or wear a wig definitely appealed. As can be seen from the unappalling photo that I've attached, I have the main tunic and belt, identical to those shown in the CRL. Yes, I'm aware that I need to get this cleared with my garrison, however I would appreciate any guidance moving forward. I need, most notably, the boots and the saber as I have gloves in leather that are suitable.
  11. The costume posted above, is amazing. I am simply awaiting the credits to fund the purchase of the boots and lightsaber, then I shall be posting fully in this.
  12. Apologies for the slew of posts on this. I have a query in regards to the CRL and therefore I just want to request clarification before I start drafting the costume pieces. Inner Tunic - this essentially looks like a black or very dark grey/charcoal roll neck jumper. This would suit me completely as I have an entire wardrobe of them. Outer Tunic - Dark grey, fractionally lighter than inner tunic Pants - Same fabric as Inner tunic The pants are where I specifically have a query, as I would believe them to be a smooth fabric, rather than the potentially knitted fabric of the inner tunic.
  13. So, with renewed vigor, after a certain recent release, I'm starting again in regards to putting in the energy. It also helps when there are too many people in the UK that are aware that I want to do this costume, and still haven't got an awful lot to show for it. So, all of the hard pieces are printed, with the exception of the shins at present. I'm hoping to get those cut down in size to allow them to be printed at home. Otherwise, I may have to ask someone with a bigger print bed for help. I have been looking at fabrics for this, and although the CRL states black (which would make it easy to source etc) I have been having conversations with my armourer and we agree that dark grey may be a better colour match. As a result I have a number of fabric samples ordered today (between Christmas and New Year, so no idea when they will actually turn up) generally these are linen based type fabrics, as the tunic and tabbards have flow to them. I have however managed to find a suitable dark grey neck jumper that I can either cut down to be just the neck area, or wear as the under tunic. I need to look at suitable base patterns for the main tunic, as this seems reasonably similar to a fit and flare dress pattern, however without the ability to have a jersey-type stretch in the fabric, I will need to work out where I can place closings/zips etc. I would chose that this is a costume that I can actually kit up, on my own, as even my jedi (RL) I need assistance to get dressed. As a result I need to allow poppers on the shoulders for the tabbards to be attached. I have also ordered light grey dye along in order to dye both white and cream polyester bias binding that I already have. It is possible that in order to get a better colour match with the references, the cream bias may be better. (Ironically, the colour that I think I want is the same fabric that I used for my Jyn Erso scarf. The fabric of which, I also dyed in order to get a closer colour match.)
